Digital Printable Book License Agreement for School Use


Publisher/Owner: Pig and Whale, LLC (“Publisher”)
School/Organization: (“Licensee”)

1. Overview

This License Agreement allows the Licensee to purchase and use a downloadable digital book, Breathe Move Journal (the “Book”), created and owned by the Publisher for educational use with students.

The Book is provided as a digital master copy for printing purposes only. Students may receive printed copies only. The digital file may not be distributed to students.

By purchasing, downloading, or using the Book, the Licensee agrees to follow the terms of this agreement.

2. License Options

The Publisher offers the following license options:

A. Class Package (Up to 20 Students)

  • Allows use of the Book by one teacher and up to 20 students in a single class.

  • The teacher may print and photocopy the Book for those students only.

B. Grade Package (Up to 60 Students)

  • Allows use of the Book by multiple teachers within the same grade level, with up to 60 total students.

  • Teachers may print and photocopy the Book for students within that grade level only.

C. Custom License

  • For use for multiple grades, entire schools or school districts.

  • Pricing and permitted use will be arranged through a separate written agreement with the Publisher.

  • Schools or districts interested in this option should contact the Publisher directly

3. Permitted Uses

Under this license, the Licensee may:

  • Download the Book for printing purposes.

  • Print and photocopy the Book for the permitted number of students under the purchased license.

  • Use the printed materials for classroom instruction, discussion, and assignments.

The digital file may be stored by the teacher or school only for printing and recordkeeping purposes.

Educational Use License: This resource is licensed for the exclusive instructional use of the purchasing school. All other distribution, sharing, or resale is prohibited.

4. Restrictions

The Licensee may not:

  • Share the digital file with students.

  • Post the Book online or distribute it through email, learning platforms, or file-sharing systems.

  • Share the digital file with teachers or schools outside the licensed group.

  • Allow more students to use the printed materials than the purchased license allows.

  • Sell, redistribute, or give the Book to other schools, teachers, or organizations.

  • Modify, adapt, translate, repackage, or create derivative works from the Book without written permission from the Publisher.

  • Remove copyright notices or ownership information from the Book.

If additional students need access, the Licensee must purchase an upgraded license.

5. Artificial Intelligence and Data Use

The Book and its contents may not be used for training, improving, or developing artificial intelligence systems, machine learning models, or datasets.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Uploading the Book to AI training datasets

  • Using the Book to train or fine-tune AI models

  • Feeding the Book into automated scraping or data extraction systems

  • Including the Book in any dataset used for algorithmic training

Use of the Book is limited strictly to human educational use within the licensed classroom, grade, or school.

6. Copyright

The Book and all related materials are copyright © 2026 by Pig and Whale LLC.
All rights are reserved.

Purchasing a license does not transfer ownership of the Book. The Licensee is purchasing permission to use the Book under the terms of this agreement.

7. Term of License

Unless otherwise stated, this license allows the Licensee to use the Book for ongoing educational use with the licensed group of students and teachers.

If the number of students using the Book increases beyond the license limit, the Licensee must purchase an upgraded license.

8. Storage of Digital File

The digital Book may be stored by the teacher or school on a computer or secure school system for the purpose of printing copies only. The digital file should not be made accessible to students or the public. The purchased file(s) may only be used for the calendar school year at date of purchase. Schools must re-order digital book licenses for additional calendar school years beyond this purchase.

9. No Refund Policy

Because the Book is a digital product that can be downloaded immediately, all purchases are final and non-refundable.

If the Licensee experiences technical issues accessing the file, the Publisher will make reasonable efforts to provide assistance or replacement files.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Publisher provides the Book “as is” for educational purposes. The Publisher is not responsible for any damages, losses, or technical issues arising from its use.
