Elizabeth Heller, MS, ERYT-200

Author, Mindfulness Educator, Yoga Instructor

Elizabeth is a mindfulness educator, bestselling children’s book author, certified yoga instructor, podcast host, mom, and a life-long journaling practitioner! During a challenging childhood, Elizabeth discovered journaling by lucky-accident at 8 years old. She believes it helped save and empower her life — scientific research agrees! Her mission is to help every adult and child access the simple and evidence-based mindfulness tools she has practiced and studied her whole life: breathing, body movement, and journaling. These tools are the foundation of the Breathe Move Journal books and her daily life.

Adults and kids can self-manage their mental, emotional and physical well-being in minutes a day, using Elizabeth’s fun and accessible mindfulness toolbox. It’s a simple practice for now and for a lifetime.

Elizabeth is a ERYT-200 certified yoga instructor with an additional 200 hours of training in meditation and trauma informed yoga. She has authored 10 books about and for children and is contributing author to 4 parenting books. She is Board Vice President for the Berkshire Coalition for Suicide Prevention and an EforAll mentor. You can find her in-person teaching yoga and journaling, supporting kids mental health organizations, and serving educators and caregivers to empower them to use breathing, moving and journaling as part of a lifelong self-care practice!

Elizabeth is available for consultations, professional development, and author visits.

The Team

  • Mary Donnelly

    MA, NBCC, RC
    Director of Marketing, SEL Consultant

Mary keeps trying to retire but was so excited by the Kids Super Journal that she asked to join the team. She is a retired school teacher and counselor and has taught SEL in middle and elementary schools. She has worked as a substance misuse counselor in schools and in inpatient treatment. She has practiced yoga and meditation for 19 years, and currently teaches mindfulness meditation online for Mysore Cincinnati. Before her career in education, Mary worked in the private sector in both print and radio advertising, and as a district sales manager.

Mary developed her love of physical activity at an early age as a response to childhood trauma. Swimming, canoeing, and hiking helped bring calm into her life. The deep breathing of exertion followed by sitting quietly in nature became the foundation for her mediation practice later in life. Mary discovered journaling as an adult in recovery and has relied on this skill for the past 35 years.
